This caught my eye as I was doing some weeding at the other end of the garden. It was hard to miss even low down behind some shrubs. I’m told it’s a pelargonium with a double flower which is rare.
Hero Shot
A close up of a product, the hero shot, a nice Bosch cordless screwdriver set complete with accessories. It took some time to get the wildlife to pose like that.
Depth of Field
An experiment in depth of field, focussing on the foreground. Close-ups are often rendered with a narrow depth of field to place the focus squarely on the subject.
Homestead
This building is rather gaudily painted, way too bright for the picturesque homestead setting so I toned it down somewhat so it sits more at peace with its surroundings.
Tall Gums
A photo I took at Ferntree Gully while waiting for some friends to finish climbing the 1000 Steps. It was a dark path in the shadows of those magnificent tall gums but a little tweaking with Aperture brought out the details.
The Falls

Serene Lake
