After coming to the end of a vehicular track I decided to get out on foot and explore further. I’m so glad I did, finding this quiet spot with perfect reflections was as close as one can get to a spiritual experience. Would you like to hear some music?

Melbourne’s Southbank and the Yarra River looking west, standing on the North bank. A very popular area with lots of restaurants, hotels and of course the casino within walking distance. Taken with a Nikon DS7000 and heavily manipulated to achieve this effect.
Camped by a Billabong
Once a jolly swagman, camped by a billabong… A short walk from my campsite, a picture-perfect scene, very soothing and calming, very easy to photograph. This scene alone made the trip worthwhile.

Took this with a medium zoom from the side of the road on the way back from Tallarook. No, things are not crook in Tallarook. I love capturing things reflecting in water but it’s usually a chance shot or waiting a long time for just the right composition and lighting.
